Rules

After connecting your Strava account, the activities will be automatically synced and taken into streak count if the following rules are satisfied.

Two per week

The goal is to become an active person. Therefore the minimum required commitment is for 2 events within each week to maintain the streak. The past experience has shown that breaking commitments, even just for a week, resulted in people giving up. You don't want to give up. 💪

The whole idea is based on the don't break the chain principle.

Do not repeat yourself (on the same day)

You can do any mix of activities on the same day, but only the first of a kind that satisfies the criteria will be taken into count. This is to prevent splitting the same activity into multiple recordings.

So two runs on separate days are (+2), two runs on the same day are (+1). Running and swimming on the same day is (+2). If you need to catch up, mix up the sports a bit.

Short, but not too short

The goal is to make the activity as easy as possible to execute but still benefit from it. Therefore based on the caloric effort needed to perform each one, there are minimums for activity to be taken into count.

These are based on moving time. Watch out that moving time does not count pauses, GPS determining location etc., so add some extra minute, just in case.

  • Run: 15:00 min
  • Swim: 15:00 min
  • Bike: 30:00 min
  • Hike: 30:00 min
  • Walk: 45:00 min

The following are based on elapsed time as there is no way to verify that they have been actually completed. This is based on trust, please don't break it. 💔

  • Workout: 20:00 min
  • Yoga: 20:00 min
  • Other (any other Strava sport): 20:00 min

Only Strava counts

It is impossible to submit the activities any other way, so make sure that you have configured the recording to end up in Strava. If you want to record private activities, make sure to configure the appropriate permission during registration.
